Key Responsibilities
Front‐End Duties
● Communicate with families, teachers, and community partners
● Manage scheduling, lesson calendars, and registration processes
● Oversee social media and website updates (Facebook, Instagram, and WJMA site)
● Coordinate recitals, fundraisers, and special events
● Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and announcements
● Represent WJMA at community events and meetings
Back‐End Duties
● Track payments and invoices; advise bookkeeper and accountant
● Prepare monthly Executive Reports for Board meetings
● Manage grant applications (NJACRF, BurlCo LAP, Presser Foundation, etc.)
● Maintain compliance with nonprofit reporting (990, WR‐40, 941s, 940s)
● Support budget planning and fiscal oversight
● Organize documentation for CPA and annual audit
● Seek new funding opportunities and partnerships
● Must be able to coordinate and collaborate with the Board of Directors
Qualifications
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Experience in nonprofit administration or arts management preferred
● Proficiency with Google Workspace and My Music Staff
● Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
● Passion for music education and community service
Compensation
● Monthly compensation of $700
● Flexible schedule with hybrid work options
